About this role:

The Business Change Analyst (BCA) position is a hands on business analyst who may lead change execution or collaborate with Project Managers to delivery change. The BCA will drive business case development and impact analysis on behalf of the business on strategic change initiatives. The role holder will specifically support the Banking Capital Market (BCM) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lines of business as part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) division focusing on EMEA integrated within the broader International business.

The Business Change Analyst (BCA) position is a change management role as part of CIB's Business Execution Services (BES) team who are responsible for strategic execution of business change initiatives supporting the international business spanning the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions. Change initiative in Banking Capital Market touch lending, debt capital markets, and Commercial Real Estate focuses on lending.

International projects are global in nature; the role requires strong collaboration with geographically dispersed teams. The Business Change Analyst (BCA) is an individual contribute role who will collaborate with multiple lines of businesses, legal entities and group functions e.g. Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations.

  • Deliver day-to-day support for strategic planning and change management efforts - book of work change that may consist of business growth, business improvement, strategic operating model and alignment to change activities.
  • Manages strategic initiatives as part of businesses change book of work including Run the Bank (RtB) as well as components of large scale Change the Bank (CtB) change programs delivered in accordance Enterprise Change Management (ECM) policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert to Change Lead(s), Business Sponsors, and Business COOs on initiative sizing, scoping, and ensuring objectives and delivery of the change book of work.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across CIB International, specifically the BCM & CRE businesses in relation to Enterprise and Internationally driven change that impacts the region.
  • Ensure all changes are sustainable and effectively embedded into business as usual.
  • Preliminary analysis to determine the most appropriate solution to achieve strategic goals, through detailed analysis of the business need, feasibility studies, benchmark/trade-off analysis, and development of high-level business requirements.
  • Working with end users, testers, to help develop use cases and analyse defects to support fixes and enhancements when assigned go larger change projects.
  • Creation and execution of test scripts to ensure configuration, system and process changes are in line with documented requirements.
  • Analysing complex regulations that may span multiple businesses, jurisdictions and summarise for others who may have a less technical background.
  • Contributing to preparation of project cost, timeline and specific role based estimates.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve sign-offs and approvals when required.
  • Support analysis and decision making with a specific focus on both LOB and region-specific impacts associated with new initiatives, projects, and changes to policies, procedures and processes.
  • Support Change Lead(s) in partnership with Compliance on regulatory horizon scanning, to drive initial and in depth impact assessments of new regulatory requirements to determine application to Wells Fargo legal entities and appropriate delivery response.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing change in a financial institution, experience in Banking Capital Markets (BCM) is essential, experience in Commercial Real Estate is desirable, and management consulting experience in Financial Services would be advantageous.
  • Change mindset, with a record of accomplishment in project delivery and change management, and knowledge approaches and methodologies to support effective change and transformation.
  • Awareness and knowledge of financial services regulations in EMEA is essential, exposure to other regional regulations across international is desirable.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at an executive level
  • Strong knowledge of data and technology requirements.
  • Experience in portfolio or complex programe management both Agile and Waterfall as well in a bi-modal approach.
  • Experience in Business Process Modelling and Mapping, and Use Case Modelling and analysis, and developing working level procedure frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple LoB managed initiatives (e.g. 3-6-month cycles) simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels of seniority, from different backgrounds and based in other (global) locations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; the role requires interpretation and synthesis of regulatory, business and technical information to ensure that the solutions implemented meet the needs of both Wells Fargo and its clients.
  • Ability to supplement requirements with visuals such as data flow, swim-lane, process flow and timeline diagrams.
  • Clear understanding of internal and external expectations/policies in respect of controls and governance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present concisely and accurately to senior audiences.
  • Intuitive; fast learner with strong problem solving skills, good time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and experience of SharePoint & Confluence would be beneficial.
