The Corporate Properties Group manages one of the largest corporate real estate portfolios in the world. Our experienced real estate team knows the Wells Fargo lines of business and supports: 9,300 sites in 35 countries, including more than 8,000 retail locations, more than 11,000 ATMs and 750 administrative sites. 97 million square feet of managed space.

The purpose of the Business Initiatives Manager is to hold responsibility for the operational continuity and preservation of all company owned, leased or managed critical facilities real estate within a large scale and highly complex portfolio. This role will support the development, application and deployment of the Wells Fargo Critical Facility program to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of all facilities in assigned portfolio.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide communication to Corporate Property and Technology Group partners and leadership of any and all conditions affecting CF system operations, reliability and facility resiliency.
  • Lead in monitoring and managing performance of assigned areas of responsibility - including services delivered by 3rd Party Resource teams and internal staff.
  • Provide leadership in the engineering design and operation aspects of a facility's critical systems and equipment.
    • Ability to immediately recognize system design shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency situations.
  • Support and contribute to the design of operational practices, as well as new improvements, to critical properties and environments- both in new construction/development as well as existing properties.
  • Responsible for the implementation and adherence to all Wells Fargo Critical Facility platforms and Audit Readiness.
    • In addition to the field teams, manage and support oversite specific roles.
  • Responsible for 100 % uptime availability of critical infrastructure in assigned portfolio.
  • Create capital and expense budgets for portfolio and administers/adheres to budgets, including forecasting and variance explanation.
Required Qualifications, International:
  • corporate properties and facilities management experience
  • management or leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, automation and infrastructure.
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance, audit, building controls and security protocols.
  • Critical Facility industry best practice knowledge and application experience
  • Strategic view and innovative focus on Critical Facilities service delivery practices
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of data center: critical facilities systems: electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to identify and assess issues then make sound decisions
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business or management-
  • Data center engineering design and operational leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in property management coordination with multiple properties.
  • Previously managed the operations of large enterprise data centers (50,000+ sq. ft. compute environments)
  • Broad knowledge of critical facility concepts, disciplines, best practices and methodologies
  • Requires the ability to effectively manage a team/Data Center and understand, articulate, and achieve the vision of the organization.
  • Will have a clear understanding of indoor air quality, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, local and national codes and requirements to assure that employees, vendors and contractors are performing tasks in a workmanlike manner without exposing the organization to unnecessary risk.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and energy management principles as well as asset life cycle management disciplines.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and proven leadership ability.
  • Must be process focused and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating with Property Managers, Project Managers and CPG Properties leadership and other lines of business.
  • Will demonstrate a proficiency in understanding and interpreting facility blue prints as well as electrical and mechanical single line drawings.
