About this role:

Network Management (NWM) is responsible globally for the coordination, oversight and management of Wells Fargo's enterprise wide external financial institution accounts (EFIA). Our remit includes performing reviews on the Financial Institutions (FI) that Wells Fargo utilises as custodians, clearing houses and triparty agents including Requests for Proposal/Requests for Information (RFPs/RFIs), onsite due diligence and both the opening and closing of EFIAs. In order to achieve our strategic goals, we are closely aligned with partner LOBs throughout the enterprise in Treasury, Finance, Risk and Operations.

Reporting to the Global Head of Securities & EMEA Corrspondent Network Management (NWM), this individual contributor role will provide support to the Network Management Team with respect to Wells Fargo's enterprise-wide network of Securities EFIAs with specific focus on those Financial Institutions providers located in region, along with the overall NWM strategy. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to support broader NWM efforts as required (specific projects and regional - EMEA & Americas, coverage in times of need).

In this role, you will:
  • Assist in driving the evaluation, selection, oversight and maintenance of Wells Fargo's EFIA and securities service provider relationships globally, including:
    • market intelligence and industry initiatives
    • undertake strategic dialogue with key internal and external stakeholders on business and customer requirements
    • accountable fo the efficient and documented selection and due diligence of providers
  • global key escalation point from CIB operations for all external clearing and settlement issues
  • Assist in Control and Regulations: raising awareness, with collaboration and creating efficiencies with lines of businesses (LOB) across the Wells Fargo enterprise in accordance with Network Management's strategy, established EFIA policy and ensure all relevant procedures are in compliance with market regulations.
  • Help enhance the efficiency of our legal and monitoring framework - Service Level Agreements (SLA), account contracts, etc., in conjunction with the Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, Technology teams and all other relevant internal partners.
  • Assist with preparation and review of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and/or Requests for Information (RFI) undertakings to help drive service provider reviews, selection, analysis of securities volumes globally and any associated reporting needs.
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Securities & EMEA Correspondent Network Management to deliver ongoing projects; including, but not limited to:
    • Assess and update both regional and global policies and procedures related to EFIAs as needed.
    • Project management of CIB Operations initiatives with external counterparts
    • Assist in creating efficiencies, challenge account requests and requirements in line with EFIA rationalization plans to exhibit cost control and process efficiencies as well as drive a project management approach relevant to Network Management's key deliverables and timelines.
Required Qualifications, International:
  • experience within Global Custodian, Broker-Dealer or Network Management areas covering the securities industry.
  • Ability to drive efficiency (cost savings or avoidance).
  • Detailed knowledge securities and the clearing and settlement practices.
  • Experience in provider service due diligence and monitoring relevant to NM function.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • A good understanding of the current regional regulatory landscape, planned future developments, with a background in compliance or risk being an additional asset.
  • Project management experience, including leading projects that implement major product deliverables and enhancements.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and process re-engineering skills; able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail.
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership of assignments.
