Credit Risk Oversight Manager

The Role:

- To oversee the growth of the businesses mortgage portfolio, with a key focus on Buy-to-let

- Review asset quality for secured and unsecured portfolios

- Provide ad-hoc analysis on portfolio performance and o understand drivers of movements.

- Review policies and processes for underwriting

- Run the build out of risk reward models and setting return hurdles

- Work with the team to build the bank's credit risk appetite framework

Essential Experienc

- Hands-on credit risk management in a retail lending environment
- In depth SME knowledge of retail mortgage market, especially BTL mortgages
- Prior experience of mortgage underwriting
- Working knowledge of building mortgage credit strategies
- Proven ability to check and challenge senior management
- Analytical mindset and a data driven approach to problem solving

Desirebale Experience:
- Working in a 2nd line credit policy and oversight team
- Knowledge of unsecured asset classes such as unsecured loans and credit cards
- Desire and experience of working with analytical models
