Utilise your tax and financial control experience and start your career in our Direct Tax Reporting team. Joining as an Executive this role will give you responsibility for assisting with Tax Authority engagement across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. You will have engagement with Senior Leadership in the Finance Management Group and will report to a Manager in the Direct Tax Reporting Team.

As a member of this professional and supportive team your specific focus will be to support the Manager responsible for regional Revenue engagement in managing the tax enquires and tax audits across the region across all taxes. You will also assist with managing the ongoing engagement with HMRC and other regional Tax Authorities.

If you have a curious mindset, great communication and collaboration skills and an eye for detail then we have a role that could be right for you. You will prepare key regular deliverables to HMRC in relation to the UK corporate tax compliance and the Macquarie Group. In addition, there will be opportunities to liase with other teams in Finance and the Business both in region and across the organisation to assist in responding to queries from Revenue authorities. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the SAO sign-off for the Macquarie UK Group.

You will bring knowledge of, and a genuine interest in tax advisory and reporting. You will be highly motivated and organised individual with strong interpersonal skills. You will work well under pressure and demonstrate ambition coupled with a high level of energy and commitment. Your technical skills and qualifications will include:
  • 3- 5 years PQ experience within a Tax function in-house or within an accountancy firm
  • UK Tax technical experience.
  • Corporate Tax experience for large companies & consolidated groups, which includes tax accounting and compliance.
  • Exposure to European tax accounting and compliance issues (i.e., non-UK experience) is preferred.
  • A strong Financial and Risk control mindset
