.NET C# Server Developer - F# AWS Banking £1086

We are currently recruiting for an experienced C# Developer to join the risk & pricing data at a large investment bank and work on challenging design and development problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a second-generation cloud-native graph-based distributed calculation service, implemented in dotnet with F#/C#, migrating to it from the existing platform.
• Ongoing improvements of the calculation service CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalability and rapid delivery.
• Provide dotnet libraries and tools to Quants to enable them to develop and test content for our calculation platform.
• Interact closely with the Data Modelling team, who are developing a second-generation cross-platform Quant data modelling language and tools.
• Collaborate with all teams of the technology group to continuously support and enhance the platform.

Challenges for this role

• Understanding the existing F#/C# codebase and CI setup and being able to evolve them to provide new functionality.
• Partnering with Quant teams to integrate analytics content into the calc platform.
• Delivering a robust, high-quality, performant, scalable solution which is resilient and requires little maintenance

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

• Microsoft .Net development & AWS experience including strong knowledge of: dotnet (C# or F#) development. Algorithms, data structures, computational complexity. A strong, demonstrable, interest in functional programming if no existing F# experience.
• Focus on thorough testing at all levels of development.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Ready to help the team support existing software components in Production
• Desire to learn functional programming if not already used in a professional capacity

Desired skills:

• Experience with both old (framework) and new (core) dotnet versions.
• Containerization experience
• Experience partnering with other technical teams on a large product.
• Basic knowledge of Quant analytics and dependency graphs.
• Experience with message queues
• Experience with document / no-sql databases.
