As a Barclays 500 Distressed Loan Closer, you will play an integral part of servicing the Barclays client base by acting as the administrative point for communication regarding all loans traded on the secondary market. You will be required to manage a diverse portfolio of LMA Secondary trades from trade date through to settlement. You will be working within a small team managing highly distressed and complex transactions.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?

• You will be responsible for the co-ordination and management of distressed transactions traded by the Credit business
• Managing corporate actions and distressed debt restructures, with detailed analysis and substantiation of P&L
• Drafting legal documentation across multi jurisdictions. Covering all distressed debt (not just loans) including but not limited to Loans, Warrants, Shares, Equities, Bonds and Rights
• Dissemination of private side and MNPI under drafted and agreed NDAs
• Reviewing and analysing of credit documentation where the trading business sit on the Public side
• Reviewing loan documentation to ascertain the transferability requirements pre and post trade
• Managing deals associated to Spanish and French notaries, liaising with external and internal legal counsel ensuring all requirements are adhered to
• Liaising with trading desks in both EME and US, sales and deal analysts as well as clients, agent banks, legal counsel, both internal and external as required

What we're looking for:

• Demonstrable experience in the Secondary Loans space with an in depth knowledge covering Distressed transactions and experience of creating bespoke documentation
• Must have the ability to handle a large portfolio of distressed trades, adopting a cradle-to-grave approach.
• Proven problem solving skills with reasoning analytical skills to substantiate P&L adjustments with excellent finding resolutions ability
• Processing experience in ACBS
