As a Barclays Internal Auditor AVP - Credit Risk AVP, you will become part of our team to work collaboratively with others in the Credit Risk team to support the delivery of audit assignments to a high standard and in line with audit methodology and to focus on the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit Plan. Our Internal Audit team provides independent, reliable, and timely assurance to the Board and executive management over the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control over current and evolving risks.

Hybrid Working

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Supporting the Audit Owner in scoping audits
• Identifying and assessing risks and controls and completing testing
• Documenting processes, risk and control assessments and observations in BIA audit toolkit
• Writing high quality audit observations
• Updating the Audit Owner and audit team with progress and observations
• Acting as a Retail Credit Risk subject matter expert

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar
• Experience of using SAS, Python, SQL or similar
• Knowledge of, or exposure to, data science, machine learning and/or AI
• Industry knowledge of Retail and/or SME Banking products

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience of developing credit Risk strategies through analytics
• Knowledge of risk appetite, stress testing and impairment
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and initiative to learn and share knowledge

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
