Who we're looking for
The Broker Oversight team are responsible for monitoring the performance of all Schroders' top tier broker relationships. The team's objective is to measure and assess broker service level offerings, their operating models and operational engagement across all asset classes and relationship types. The team collates key KPIs from internal stakeholders, as well as the brokers themselves and uses this quantitative and qualitative information to peer to peer review brokers. Ultimately this not only creates transparency of our service level expectations but allows us to determine where relationships and services are either strong or perhaps require some focus for improvement. Additional duties also cover:

• Day to day escalation management 
• Support Operations & Investment colleagues to ensure they get the best service from our brokers
• Conduct broker reviews throughout the year
• Maintain an open communication with brokers and internal stakeholders
• Manage required broker communications and outreach exercises
• Collate all key commercial terms and distribute to brokers annually
• Ensure brokers understand Schroders annual roadmap

We are seeking an individual that has strong relationship management skills, who is able to demonstrate a proactive and organised approach and work collaboratively with both colleagues and external parties to strengthen communication. They will need good knowledge of commercial issues, understand the Asset Management business and possess generalist knowledge of how the entire trade lifecycle works from Onboarding, through to confirmations, settlements and reconciliations.

The team
The Broker Oversight team has a global remit and is situated within Investment Services and ultimately reports into the Investment COO.

They provide support to Investment, Operations, Traders and the wider support teams from 8:00 - 18:00GMT.

What you'll do
• Monitor the operational performance of top tier brokers & service providers like Prime Brokers and Clearers.
• Schedule and run meetings with the top tier brokers, ensuring KPI packs and internal notes are delivered to a high standard and in good time. Circulate notes & actions post meetings to key stakeholders.
• Ensure all broker related data (KPIs and feedback) is both correctly and centrally sourced and stored.
• Daily management of the team email inbox and respond to queries from both internal and external parties.
• Act as an escalation point for Investment Services and Operations.
• Ensure the Investment Services and Operations teams are kept up to date on all industry led initiatives, training and regulatory changes.
• Manage large scale broker communications related to Schroders projects & initiatives.
• Ascertain all risks, record and escalate where appropriate.
• Ensure all polices and procedures are regularly reviewed and kept up to date.
• Assist with any process improvements, ensure operating guidelines are met and controls are
adhered to.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Relationship management experience
• Excellent presentation and Excel skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Financial services industry essential
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• An understanding of Derivative and Cash Products
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
