As a Barclays Prime Trade Capture Specialist, you will be closely aligned to both Sales and Trading desks. You will be responsible for owning returns and recalls, new trade bookings, life-cycling events, amendments, re-rates and collateral management support. You will be supporting the banks' Prime Sales and Trading businesses, which sit in the wider Equities asset class, part of the Global Markets division at Barclays. We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Supporting Securities Based Lending (SBL) and Secured Financing flows
• Providing expertise to assist the Equity Financing Group business
• Manually booking trades including returns, recalls, fee based borrows, cash pool postings, Triparty pledge & recalls, repo/reverse repo and collateral swaps
• Interacting daily with clients, trading, operations and risk management teams to ensure inventory and risk is managed accordingly
• Creating an operational shield for SBL & Funding desks, assisting operational stakeholders, within MO and Settlements, in the coordination of break resolution
• Managing Prime Brokerage client related flows, collateral lifts, returns and recalls, pay to holds and portfolio migrations
• Supporting BAU activity and risk items, including breaks and IT outages
• Driving optimisation to streamline processes and reduce associated costs, using your technical expertise and mentality to push automation and efficiency

What we're looking for:
• Previous experience in an Equity Financing environment
• Excellent communication skills and an effective team player
• Ability to demonstrate ownership and prioritise work under pressure
• Desire to expand your knowledge and demonstrate willingness to improve your cross-product knowledge and experience

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience gained within an Investment Banking environment is advantageous
• Ability to effectively prioritise workload and tasks
• Timeliness, accuracy and diligence

5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place.
