Transaction Operations Overview
The Transaction Operations Department forms part of the global operations function and is made up of Trade Operations, Asset Servicing, Custodian Oversight, Performance, Regulatory Operations & Reconciliations and Operations On-boarding.

Operations On-boarding Overview
Schroders Operations On-boarding Department is responsible for the co-ordination of client and fund set ups. We also support portfolio restructures, mergers, closures and custody changes. Additionally, managing the set up of new and incremental market access.

Role Overview
Responsible for:
* Client and fund operational set ups and closures
* Market openings

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver accurate, timely, compliant and cost effective services
* Perform function in line with established business controls
* Perform set up and amendments to funds, clients and markets
* Build and develop good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
* Support external and internal client queries

Core Competencies:
* Typical educational requirement: Graduate level
* Typically would require experience within Financial Services Operations.
* Must possess good interpersonal skills and/or written skills. Ability to explain relatively involved concepts in a clear and concise manner to others within the organisation.
* Proficient with manipulating and analysing data (Excel, VBA, SQL etc)
* The ability to promote a positive and professional image and being helpful and polite is essential.

Experience and Skills:
* The role is prescribed within a well-established framework. However, the role holder is expected to play an active part in improving day-to-day procedures and how the work is to be tackled.
* Responsible for planning own workload typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and / or external events for a days/ weeks ahead.
* Is required to make routine judgments in situations which are well precedented and uncontentious. Would be expected to seek assistance for anything complex or out of the ordinary.
