The Global Fixed Income and Currency team is looking to hire an Insurance Portfolio Manager at Vice President level in London. The position will involve immediate client-facing responsibilities, as well an ensuring that portfolio construction and risk is appropriate to meet client objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain framework for portfolio construction to manage complex client portfolios, aligning with active investment views and consistent with client objectives
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships through communication of relevant market / portfolio information and opportunities by leading periodic portfolio reviews in addition to investment committee presentations.
  • Drive new business initiatives by analyzing prospective client portfolios, completion of request-for-proposal documentation in addition to providing broad support to Sales and Client Relationship Management teams.
  • Coordinate and direct trading activity relating to cash or in-kind contributions or withdrawals.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of work experience in fixed income asset management or related field. Specific insurance industry experience in addition to a CFA is a plus
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation for processes around operational nuances as well as portfolio management metrics
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog ue and interactions, and collaborate well with others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Undergraduate degree in maths, physics, hard sciences, computer science, engineering, preferred. Other backgrounds considered based on ability to demonstrate quantitative skills
