A versatile individual with strong business systems and data analysis skills for development and support of the first ever front-to-back platform and service model. The successful candidate must possess skill in complex business data analysis with expertise in functional requirements gathering and documentation; excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; a proven ability to liaise between business/implementation and technology teams; and strong collaboration skills; understand global portfolio management, trading and compliance across asset classes along with the associated analytics; and have experience managing and overseeing global virtual teams.

What you will be responsible for
  • This role will be responsible for detailed analysis, testing, documentation outlining problems, opportunities and solution for State Street's Alpha Data Platform
  • Work closely wider STT Alpha building efficient data models and technical requirement that meet product/client requirements
  • Provide analysis and advice to clients (internal and external) on current and future state data-centric operating models
  • Liaise with clients (internal and external) in order to establish and document implementation requirements
  • Analyze and document data mappings from source systems to target and onward data outputs for client implementations
  • Play significant role in contributing input on product requirements working closely with the global Alpha Data Platform teams
  • Collaborate with other Alpha Data Platform Implementation team members to share best practices, raise issues, develop consistent global processes
  • Apply functional business knowledge to system roadmap and be part of agreeing future enhancements / development activities
  • Work as a member of a global team - provide status, communicate issues, share ideas, and follow process for analysis, development and support protocols

Additional requirement
  • Strong hands-on experience in eliciting and documenting requirements using Agile methodologies in delivery/implementation projects within the Financial Services industry
  • Experience of working with data management platforms, complex data architecture and performing data validation
  • Experience of integrating with other industry software providers to promote platform interoperability (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, etc Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus)
  • Experience with Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
  • Strong technical skills in data management, SQL, Toad, database design
  • Client engagement and expectation management across project life cycle
  • Strong analytical, reconcilement and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally structured and team-based environment, as well as independently
  • Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Visio, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Agile Methodology and Testing tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC, QC) preferred
  • Highly collaborative and flexible. Ability to build effective working relationships with others inside and outside the organization, including leadership
  • Knowledge of State Street systems / Charles River would be beneficial

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Strong financial industry experience.
