GSMEF is raising a US$50m Private Equity Fund to invest in Guyanese SME businesses
The Fund will be managed by a team of experienced investors with strong networks within the country and internationally. The Advisory Board includes Guyanese professionals with more than 50 years of experience in international Investment Banking, Development Finance & Corporate Law
The ESG business framework fits naturally in Guyana. GSMEF will implement, in its own operations, ESG procedures consistent with Development Finance Institution standards.

GSMEF will require all invested portfolio companies to do the same

ESG criteria will be used to select portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

To approach potential investors and respond to their queries on the GSMEF.

Working with GSMEF management secure commitments.

Develop and update pitch books.

Assist in originating investable deals in Guyana for the Deal Team.

Candidate Experience Profile

Our clients seeks a sales minded candidate with private equity, infrastructure venture capital funds experience.

The key skill is a raising capital for a GP, either with a placement agent or internally with a GP in an distribution role in investor relations.

Ideally, candidates will have existing relations with relevant DFI's globally

Strong networking skills are expected, with automatic follow-up.

Spanish business fluency would be a definitive advantage.

Qualifications in business, economics or liberal arts are expected.
