About our client
An exciting opportunity for an experienced ESG professional to join an industry-leading team within a well-established, high-achieving international firm operating across investment strategies. The firm is looking for an ESG Advisor/Professional to join the organisation to build on and drive its ESG programme throughout its portfolio through high-level strategy and stakeholder engagement.
What the job involves
  • Supporting the development and delivery of the firm's proprietary ESG programme, working with the relevant internal stakeholders to understand, measure and improve against key metrics
  • Work in partnership with external consultants when necessary to provide strategic guidance on ESG issues throughout the investment process
  • Deliver and manage key ESG metrics and targets across all fund strategies to monitor performance for ESG reporting to key stakeholders
  • Support the Head of ESG in building relationships to engage with the executive team and senior managers of the investee companies to support the improvement of ESG performance and risk management
  • Assist in engaging with ESG sponsors from portfolio companies to contribute to best practice implementation and ESG advancements
  • Assist with compliance with ESG-related regulation and reporting
  • Support external communication to investors and stakeholders on material developments in the firm's ESG performance
  • Support the head of ESG in engaging, educating and reporting to colleagues throughout the firm
Who we are looking for
  • Sustainability or ESG expertise gained in consulting, private equity, or asset management, with a broad exposure to a variety of ESG related topics
  • Exposure to a wide range of sectors, with a preference for industrial, business services, consumer or healthcare sectors
  • Familiarity with ESG due diligence, sustainability reporting and developing measurement frameworks
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders across all levels of seniority
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously when necessary and collaborate within a broader team
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in German and Swedish a benefit
