Join our European Principal Private Equity team as a junior investment team member to work as a principal investor in a flat structure within a dynamic team, focusing on UK and European mid market private equity opportunities.

Private Equity team sits within Macquarie's Principal Finance Investing business, and invests across a range of industries, including but not limited to technology, telecoms, business services, healthcare and education. The flexible and substantial capital base from which the team invests, allows them to consider both majority and minority stakes and move exceptionally fast in bidding processes. As part of this team you are guaranteed to see significant deal flow and will be exposed to every stage of the deal cycle, from sourcing to deal execution, portfolio management and exit processes. This is an opportunity to take early responsibility, working alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic team.

Bringing your inquisitive nature, you will carry out fundamental company and industry research, including liaising with management teams, external experts and in-house resources. You will deliver sound financial analysis and have an active hand in structuring deals and running diligence work streams whilst taking on greater origination responsibilities and assisting directors in all aspects of the deal cycle, as well as subsequent investment portfolio management.

To be successful in this position, you will have coming up to 2 - 4 years of experience in a Private Equity, M&A or Leveraged Finance team of a leading bank or top-tier consulting firm. You will have an excellent academic background and be highly motivated to learn about a diverse range of industries as well as equity solutions.
