As a Barclays Climate Risk Analyst - Portfolio Reporting, you will join us in our Portfolio Reporting team. This is an exciting, challenging opportunity to join a knowledgeable team, where you will be supporting with the requirements of Climate Change risk reporting, analysis and assessment to aid several risk responsibilities.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?
• Supporting with the construction, automation and analysis of Climate Management Information (MI)
• Helping in developing Mandate and Scale reporting to allow monitoring the progress against climate-related strategic aims and risk appetite
• Creating risk management tools and reporting that are appropriate for the speed of change that is necessary
• Supporting in regulatory and senior management monthly / quarterly or ad hoc climate risk reporting requirements
• Producing and reviewing reports and research any significant changes to ensure accuracy of data
• Identifying and commenting on key drivers on monthly/ weekly / daily moves on a wider portfolio level
• Maintaining and implementing business remediation solutions for Credit Risk Portfolio Reporting to ensure continuous BCBS 239 compliance
• Communicating with RIS (Risk Information Services) clients and stakeholders, building and developing effective relationships which promote positive strategic change

What we're looking for:
• Data driven, results orientated and commercial focused expert, with a solid analytical background, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and identify potential control breakdowns in processes, demonstrated with contributions to effective procedure manuals
• Leadership skills, willing to take ownership of tasks and pro-actively drive initiatives forward

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Credit Risk or Climate Risk relevant experience
• Experience in Credit Risk or Finance Reporting and Analysis
• Good understanding of data infrastructure
• Business Objects and/or SQL experience
