An excellent opportunity has arisen to join this market leading private equity firm in an exciting growth area for the business.

The company are global, investing in a wide range of industries as well as other funds. This UK based team invests across Europe in secondary and co-investment opportunities. As an Associate, you will work closely with Principals and a Partner, providing support to senior team members on a mixture of secondary and co-investment transactions in a range of industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the secondary team on financial modelling and assessment of private equity secondary investment opportunities
  • Supporting transaction due diligence and helping with the preparation of the investment recommendations
  • Participate in the discussion opportunities at Global meetings as well as with the Investment Committee
  • Supporting the co-investment team on financial modelling and company analysis and execution of co-investments
  • Help co-ordinating and executing closing legal documentation
  • Monitoring the evolution and performance of completed transactions as well as selected Private Equity Funds across the European Private Equity market
  • Responding to Client Service requests and supporting other secondaries business development and origination initiatives


Requirements:
  • Strong financial analysis and valuation modelling experience
  • Experience in the M&A team in an Investment Bank or the Investment team of a Buy Out firm
  • Ability to assess risk and develop an appropriate diligence plan to address concerns
  • Ability to work to tight deadline with minimum supervision and to manage workloads efficiently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of one or more European languages is advantageous, but not essential
