We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quantitative Analyst. You will gain exposure to models and business critical tools used in all asset classes and functions across Schroders, as you work closely with experienced colleagues in the team. You will be encouraged to continually develop your skills and there is potential for career progression over time to a Quantitative Analyst role.

The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

The team
The Quantitative Risk team, part of Group Risk, is responsible for (i) Group oversight of models; (ii) development of risk models; (iii) Group oversight of business critical tools. This role reports to the Head of Quantitative Risk, there are also three experienced Quantitative Analysts in the team.

What you'll do
• Model oversight
o Participate in the team research process and provide input into model validations
o Assist with the development of and running of quantitative risk models, e.g. operational risk loss models, capital requirement calculation methodologies, stress testing approaches
o Build tools to assist in the risk management process
o Coordinate the Group Model Governance Committee as the Committee Secretary
• Business critical tool oversight
o Liaise with internal businesses to both identify problems and provide solutions
o Own the Group inventory and change management system on behalf of Group Risk
o Manage system enhancements, with Technology, through the development cycle into production
o Monitor system routines and providing management information reports periodically

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Some practical experience preferably on the buy side
• Experience of coding in Matlab, Python, R or SQL
