Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who can join the Solutions Business, to support operational teams with investment related tasks as well as contribute towards project deliverables. Understand the various aspects of the business and be able to develop relationships within the team, wider group, and amongst business professionals relevant to Schroders' industry.

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
The team
Schroders Solutions provides Advisory and Fiduciary services to a large client base predominantly in the UK, primarily institutional pension schemes, both DC and DB and insurance firms. Our Asset Management activities currently focus on Equities, Derivatives and Multi-Asset Solutions serving a global client base of institutional clients.
What you'll do
• Develop product knowledge of fiduciary management and other business areas
• Have the ability to solve investment related queries and problems
• Broaden knowledge and interest in the financial sectors and markets
• Carry out analytical and research work where required to support on-going projects
• Respond to ad-hoc requests and answer queries
• To collaborate with other team members to develop the operational processes and how this may progress in the future with more emphasis on building efficiencies.
• Support senior members of the business to deliver project milestones.
• To be aware of and adhere to Compliance procedures and requirements in respect of the following: confidentiality, data protection, anti-money laundering procedures, TCF, conflicts of interest.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Educated to a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in a numerical, finance or economics-based subject
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and must have Intermediate Level Experience of Excel
• Strong skills in working with PCs and on-line systems
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• Ideally to have some experience within a financial company (intern role)
• Proactive in approach and show initiative to take a variety of tasks with an enquiring mind
• Creative approach to problem solving
