This incredibly commercial and hands-on role would suit someone looking to work in a smaller fund and broad role, covering elements of fund accounting oversight, financial modelling and project work. Salary on offer is £75-85,000 base plus benefits and exceptional bonus potential.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordination and supervision of Fund Administrators on the preparation of quarterly / annual Capital Account Statements and Financial Statements
- Monitor and review of capital calls, distribution calculations and notices
- Coordinating the quarterly and annual valuation process between external investee entities, Fund Administrators, AIFM, depository and auditors
- Review of management fee and carry calculations including carried interest modelling
- Cashflow monitoring and forecasting of all entities within the Fund structures
- Assistance on the preparation of quarterly portfolio reporting to investors detailing key fund performance indicators
- Coordination with auditors on preparation of annual audit for Luxembourg vehicles and Guernsey Investment Manager
- Coordination with tax advisors on preparation of US specific reporting for investors
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of controls, systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely accounting and management reporting to relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring with the Fund Administrator that up to date structure charts, fully signed documents, investment data are maintained
- Coordination with Fund Administrator of quarterly and ad hoc Board meetings ensuring board packs are prepared and distributed with appropriate materials
Your background:
- Prior fund accounting experience is essential, either in-house or at a fund administration business across private equity style structures
- Fully qualified accountant - CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Strong technical and analytical skillset
- Hands-on and positive attitude; happy to get stuck into the detail
- Excellent communication skills, outgoing personality, confident talking to front office, investors and service providers.
