We are a growing private markets platform with £6.5Billion under management. We invest across a number of infrastructure and real asset strategies and we have raised and fully invested our first sustainable infrastructure fund and are partly through our second fund raise. In advance of our final close on our second fund we are looking to recruit an experienced investment director. We make equity investments of up to £50 million into greenfield / platforms that have both social and environmental impact and have invested £500M into areas such as vertical farming, specialist education, regional fibre networks, biofuels, waste to energy, biodiversity and regeneration, and decarbonisation. Our investment director will have the following responsibilities:
  • Investment leadership sourcing deals, overseeing execution and interacting with the investment committee
  • Supporting capital raising and interacting with LPs
  • Taking board seats in portfolio companies working with the executive board
  • Helping portfolio companies on setting ambitious growth strategies and be hands on and have active input on execution
  • Management of junior investment team
  • Manage third-party relationships with all counterparties engaged with the fund and portfolio companies

You will need to have some of the following qualities:
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen and literacy and relevant technical skills
  • Experience originating and leading deals at both investment and exit stage with a verifiable track record of comparable assets in the sectors outlined above
  • Genuine interest in sustainability
  • Ideally experience of greenfield assets or platform build-outs
  • Experience building brands and teams either on the buy-side or in an exec role
  • Requires no oversight and is an energetic self-starter
  • Leadership and management skills of high performing team with the ability to manage direct reports and wider team responsibilities
  • Strong people skills, capacity to build and maintain relationships, and clear ability to influence and work with board-level stakeholders
  • Ideally some entrepreneurial experience
