We are looking to grow our team of oil Analysts with a senior hire who can drive the team globally to support the crude oil trading team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing fundamental market analysis in support of the European crude oil trading desk based in. London and Geneva. Your focus will be on EMEA crude markets, whilst also working closely with analysts and traders from all regions to build a global market view.
You will be developing detailed crude oil supply and demand models, tracking global crude oil flows, following key oil market geopolitical, and economic developments, and data-mining energy statistics from government and industry sources. You should be able to adjust your analysis to keep pace with the rapidly changing market conditions. You should also be able to discuss potential changes in the market, the impact this will have on supply and demand models and engage in proactive discussions on potential trading opportunities with the trading team.
We are seeking an outstanding analyst with 5 - 10 years of experience in the crude oil market, who has excellent communication and analytical skills, and must enjoy working closely with others in a team. The role is based in London or Geneva.
