Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

Assist the COO in the smooth running of their global responsibilities by supporting in: preparedness for relevant governance forums and boards; understanding and helping resolve cross-functional issues; understanding and driving forward initiatives and change; the management of small/medium business projects directly within the portfolio of the COO.
Delivers all relevant information and MI to facilitate the COO in decision making, including representation of GOIS functions.

Role Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time...
  • Partner with business functions across a full span of leadership; demonstrates an ability to look at processes across operations, compliance, distribution and finance.
  • Application of project management skills and mindset to variety of business projects; especially those focused around control and process enhancement.
  • Production of responses, written reports and presentations under the supervision or direction of the COO Coordination and support for key meetings to facilitate learning and collaboration.
  • Deliver all necessary MI and reporting and provide analytical overlay.
  • Design MI and reporting solutions to provide new insights.
  • Coordinate and manage open issues and actions on behalf of the COO. Develop and maintain ongoing timeline and deliverables plans and track these to completion to ensure the COO is supported to meet the required deadlines and responds to all the relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with other GOIS functions and others with functional or regional support roles to ensure delivery of key tasks in support of the COO such as MI provision, board and governance reporting and issue resolution. Review all reports prior to submission and raise any escalations/queries with the report owner or COO, as appropriate.
  • Represent the COO on key initiatives and actions to others (in absence of the COO). The BM should be able to take the initiative to ensure the COO's decisions and preferences made in one case are consistently carried across the remainder of the business as appropriate.
  • Represent the COO where appropriate, for example on assigned cross-functional projects.
  • Understand the GOIS financials at a global level, including budget, high level variations and cost drivers.
