About our client
Our client, a UK leading multi-strategy investment manager, is currently looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join their specialist debt and lending team. Due to the market situation over the past couple of years, the debt and lending arm of the organisation has been super busy, posting record-breaking figures. They foresee the market and workload continuing at a high pace for the foreseeable future and therefore are looking to add a senior legal figure to the team.

What the job involves
As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will sit at director level within the organisation. You will be tasked with managing and overseeing the legal on multiple legal aspects, including structuring, implementation and execution of the transactions. On a daily basis, you will partner with the debt and lending front office team along with leading on multiple specific legal projects, transaction design and portfolio support.
  • Overseeing the provision of legal support to multiple debt and lending schemes
  • Provide legal advice on all structuring, implementation and execution of transactions
  • Advising in relation to the existing debt portfolio and legacy issues
  • Provide legal input and advice to multiple corporate business teams
  • Working with the General Counsel in developing a corporate legal strategy that promoted and protects organisation interests
  • Oversight and management of external legal advisors

Who we are looking for
  • Knowledge and experience working within the debt, finance or securitisation legal space
  • Experience in advising on and managing complex projects and transactions
  • Previous in-house experience would be advantageous
