The Treasury Capital Markets Team is a newly created Division and there is an urgent need to hire an Associate Director who will be the first hire in the team, leading the sourcing of debt funding for the group's private investments. The Treasury Capital Markets Team is a newly created Division and there is an urgent need to hire an Associate Director who will be the first hire in the team, leading the sourcing of debt funding for the group's private investments. This is an excellent opportunity for a structured or leveraged finance professional to join a newly established team and play a key role in establishing the Division with long term career progression opportunities.
The Associate Director will:
- Report to the Director of Treasury and play a key role in building out the Private Assets function by leading on the group's debt funding requirements
- Take responsibility for developing the debt strategy for the Private Assets business
- Lead on assessing the lending needs of the group
- Build and maintain relationships with banks to source funding options and evaluate potential lenders
- Take full responsibility for executing borrowing across a variety of debt products including asset-backed lending, warehouse facilities and non-recourse funding to name a few
- Continuously monitor and manage the group's debt facilities
- Lead the recruitment of junior members of the team, providing training and mentoring to junior members of the team
Interested candidate will:
- Be currently sitting in a Senior Associate or Junior Vice President (or equivalent) position in the debt team of a highly regarded bank with a keen interest in financial markets
- Have good exposure to either structured or leveraged finance or other debt products
- Have familiarity with all or one of the following: private credit, private equity and / or commercial real estate
- Possess a strong and all round skill set with the ability to build financial models, conduct due diligence and experience in structuring and underwriting deals
- Good exposure and awareness to risk management
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management internally and externally
- Hold a finance, economics or related degree from a highly regarded university
