Our client is a leading financial services firm providing investment banking services to a diversified client base

The individual will be expected to maintain and develop new business relationships with institutional clients and will manage all aspects of assigned accounts, including advising clients on investment opportunities and recommending the buying and selling of securities (and other related products).

The individual will be expected to facilitate strong communication lines between internal and external stakeholders. The individual will be provided with the responsibility to work independently in a small team setting based in London and will also work on complex assignments as part of the global Sales and Trading team.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Assist, maintain and develop relationships with institutional clients/corporate clients and internal colleagues to facilitate efficient and effective institutional client services.
  • Disseminate timely marketing materials for equity products and services targeted at institutional investors.
  • Work closely with client's investment personnel, advising clients on investment opportunities
  • Track and review performance of account coverage to ensure value added.
  • Generate sales ideas and promotion of new/related products through written sales notes, calls and client meetings.
  • Attend meetings and conferences to represent firm and inform institutional clients of investment ideas.
  • Research and analysis of industries that are appropriate and related to coverage.
  • Be well-informed of current financial affairs that may affect related commodities, stocks, and bonds.

Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures including Research/security analysis, procedures used in the securities industry, institutional sales & trading, banking and finance and financial markets and products.
  • Experience within institutional equity sales in a front office capital market setting desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and draw logical conclusions to interpret results for use in decision making.
  • Ability to leverage technical/professional knowledge and interpersonal sales skills to obtain client acceptance to ideas, services and or products.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Application Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
