The Role: Commodities News Editor
The Location: London, UK
The Grade: (for internal purposes only): G10
The Team: We are editors and reporters who cover the energy, metals and mining sectors in the US and worldwide. We work with colleagues in the U.S., Canada, UK, Pakistan, India and the Philippines to publish timely news and analysis.
The Impact: We provide workflow oversight and editorial decision-making. Do you love coordinating with writers and editors? In this role, you will do just that: ensure coverage of our sectors is written and posted to our online platform in a timely fashion, with a focus on quality.

- Editing a combination of timely news articles and in-depth features.
- Maintaining S&P Global's high standards for quality and style.
- Publishing news articles to our real-time, online platform.
- Communicating effectively with writers, editors and production staff.
- Providing effective feedback to writer to help them grow in their roles.
- Staying up to date with knowledge of covered industries.
- Expanding technical expertise by learning evolving systems and platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of business journalism experience. Commodities industry experience a plus.
- Desire to grow your knowledge of the energy or the metals/mining sector.
- Excellent written and oral English-language skills.
- Ability to multi-task while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
- Strong editorial skills.
