The Group Finance function has a number of significant transformation projects underway, including one within the Group FP&A function. The business is asking the existing team to lead in the end-to-end delivery of these projects, which has, in turn, created the opportunity for an FP&A professional to support the team with both the day-to-day FP&A and the delivery of the project. Examples of day-to-day responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with FP&A experience in an Asset Management or Financial Services' firm. Power BI experience would be a great advantage. We would even consider a candidate from a corporate, rather than FS, FP&A team with strong Power BI skills.
- Apply a breadth of accounting, operational and project expertise to provide regular internal/external, project support to Group Management Accounting & Control
- Support the process re-engineering and documentation of key finance processes and controls
- Manage, collate, and analyse the underlying quarterly Group Forecast and annual Budget process
- Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budgets and recommend corrective actions, when needed
- Support the analysis of P&L by business unit and function
- Support the design and implementation of Group activity-based costing
- Budget and forecasting modelling, support, reporting and analysis of variances.
- Assist in ad hoc tasks and preparation of board packs and investment presentations as required.
- Actively seek to improve processes and MI reporting.
