A market leading Lloyd's insurance business are looking for Syndicate Accountant to join their rapidly growing finance team.
The main responsibilities for this Syndicate Accountant position will be to:
The successful candidate for this Syndicate Accountant will need to have a knowledge of Solvency II or Lloyd's reporting and have previous experience working in the insurance market, ideally in the London Market. The candidate will also need to be Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
The main responsibilities for this Syndicate Accountant position will be to:
- Prepare key quarterly syndicate returns (including QMA, QMB, GQD, QSR, QAD, US and Canadian Trust Funds)
- Assist with Syndicate Business Plan submission (SBF) and assist with syndicate forecasting
- Prepare annual USSIS and BEAT, Canadian SIS, Canadian GST/HST and UK and US Tax returns to Lloyd's
- Review syndicate journals along with prepayments and accruals each month
- Responsible for investment accounting and reporting for both the Syndicate and Corporate Funds at Lloyd's
- Complete month end close including technical underwriting journals, key LCA and Balance sheet reconciliations and trend analysis
