We have an exciting opportunity for a 1 st Line Business Operational Risk professional to support Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure and Energy Capital (IEC) division, which invests in development, construction and operational infrastructure assets across the Economic & Social, Digital and Energy Transition sectors.

Based in London and reporting to the Business Operational Risk Management Lead in New York, you will be an integral part of the IEC team and will assume responsibility for providing support in establishing, improving and maintaining a robust governance and risk management framework to ensure risks are effectively identified, managed and monitored.

You will support the IEC management team in the overall management of operational risk and control frameworks including planning and identifying operational risks, designing and completing control assurance, incident investigation and policies. You will work closely with the deal teams to assess, manage and advise on operational risks of new principal assets through the project lifecycle to ensure that risks have been identified and are being managed effectively. You will be responsible for facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders to confirm the Macquarie Capital Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) reflects the control environment of the IEC business, and prepare risk reports and analysis to support management in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will have 3-4 years of experience in a governance, risk management or internal audit role, ideally in the energy and / or infrastructure sector. You will be a pro-active, self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and pragmatism.
