Job Purpose Statement
Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...
This role is part of the Global Operations team operating out of the US, UK and India. Its purpose is to ensure timely and accurate settlement of domestic, foreign and currency transactions for all product types. This includes all operational aspects of processing transactions from trade confirmation, instruction, fail management, country opening documentation, and reconciliation. It is also responsible for Fund Order/Unit dealing processes and for managing broker/counterparty, custodian and trader relationships.
Role Responsibilities
How you'll spend your time...
• Oversee processing and settlement of all domestic and international transactions for all products and security types
• Oversee matching and confirmation of domestic, foreign and FX trades
• Work closely with all the Trading teams to resolve any trade questions or corrections
• Monitor unmatched & failed trade reports and ensure timely resolution
• Contact brokers or review electronic trade matching to ensure domestic and international trades are matched on key trade information.
• Instruct the custodians to ensure timely settlements of all domestic and international transactions for all products and security types.
• Identify trends of failed trades to reduce risk for missing or incorrect instructions.
• Adequately manage fails for timely resolution to minimize risk to the department.
• Work closely with Trading teams to resolve any trade questions or corrections.
• Maintain Settlements Instruction database with broker instructions.
• Provide support for various projects / initiative for the Product/ Front office/ business
• Provide testing of systems, generate ad-hoc reports and assist in miscellaneous projects, as needed, for enhancements or regulatory requirements.
• Provide quality service and information to partners/clients.
• Work with both internal and external parties / stakeholders to share information, resolve problems and improve processes/procedures.
• Attend team meetings, leader's regular meetings, and trainings. Drive and contribute to local, functional initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned
