Senior Transactions Analyst - Private Equity

The Opportunity:
  • Newly created role working for a Global diversified market leading private market investment firm
  • Reporting into the Transactions Manager, this roles offers staff leadership / supervisory responsibilities, motivating, training, supporting the team, and providing guidance to the junior members, as well as taking a lead on individual project work
  • The team is responsible for the preparation, input and reporting of all financial and analytical client data both internally and externally for my client, ensuring all capital drawdowns and distributions between investors and their investments are accurately entered into an in-house database, within a timely manner
  • Responsibilities of the team also include resolving cash breaks, updating FX rates, answering queries from internal and external stakeholders and making payments using several different banking websites
  • The role is high profile and has a huge amount of exposure to a wide range of internal stakeholders across the business. The transaction data is key to a huge range of internal processes, across investment, sales / IR, operations etc.
  • Liaison with Operations and the wider business to ensure Monthly / Quarterly deliverables are achieved, along with all daily tasks (to be completed before close of daily business)
  • Significant external stakeholder management is also offered with clients and third party administrators and vendors
  • You will instigate process improvements, supervising the team in their implementation, and represent the team in high profile department level projects and initiatives


Your Experience:
  • You will be able to demonstrate a good level of academic rigor along with previous experience within Operations teams on either the buy or sell side
  • Private Equity / Private Markets experience is preferred but not essential. However, a demonstrable interest in the sector is!
  • You will have experience of working withing a high-volume financial transaction / trade environment, where accuracy is crucial
  • Previous experience of providing regular feedback/coaching/training to individuals is essential, along with the ability to provide oversight of work and timely deliverables
  • Exceptional communication skills are key, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business and be able to influence both upwards and downwards
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
