About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Portfolio Associate to provide financial analysis and credit analytics support to Senior Foreign Corporate Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers to assist underwrite, new and existing transaction to a portfolio of European Foreign Corporates.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the credit analysis on companies, while assisting with Compliance and Risk management and underwriting for the European corporate portfolio.
  • Work with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers in analyzing loan requests, borrower information and financial statements, industry and business analysis to support underwriting the m ore complex credit relationships within the corporate banking group.
  • Conduct customer and market research and prepare all credit approval documents to support the underwriting process for credit products and operating exposures of portfolio customers
  • Complete regular financial trading updates on a designated portfolio of corporate clients to the Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager and Credit Supervisor.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate booking of approved exposures.
  • Organise and maintain credit files, external research information, loan documentation, reports and compliance and credit approval documents
  • Participate in projects and process development initiatives for the Corporate Banking and/or the EMEA region.
  • Participate in monitoring, documenting, underwriting, and reacting to the credit quality of an assigned portfolio of loans within CIB Portfolio Management functional area and contribute to planning related to functional area deliverables
  • Review less complex or tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
  • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise judgment while developing understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Provide information to managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders
Required Qualifications, International:
  • Experience in CIB Portfolio Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
