Who we are looking for
State Street is seeking a risk professional with strong data analytics experience to support the Credit and Global Markets Risk team in London. This analyst position will offer exposure to a number of business areas, including Global Markets, Treasury, Fund Finance, Custody, and Network Management.
The position will be a key part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, providing a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic risk management environment.
This role can be performed using a hybrid model, where work can be balanced between home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As Risk Analyst you will
  • Optimise and develop risk reporting and the corresponding infrastructure, including designing data analysis methodologies and compiling reports to present to senior management.
  • Support the production of management information for risk management committees in the EMEA region
  • Assist other team members in investigating and reporting on risk incidents
  • Support the team in generating presentations and dashboards
  • Take a pro-active approach to learning the main risk disciplines in ERM, and the mechanics of the businesses we support.
  • Form an understanding of operational processes within both the Business and ERM, and be able to document such in procedure documents where required
  • Support in ad-hoc requests by senior management and the regulators

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of banking activities
  • A good understanding of databases, data analysis and visualization
  • Programming knowledge including data manipulation e.g. in SQL, R or Python
