An opportunity has arisen to join a business undergoing immense change as legacy financial services companies have been spun out of their parent companies into a joint venture, Osttra. The FP&A team supports the leadership team in all aspects of financial planning; analysis and decision support. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes working in a changing environment as a finance business partner
Responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare annual revenue/expense/capital budgets and rolling forecasts in conjunction with the senior leadership team, both on a detailed bottom-up and higher-level top down basis. Ensuring that the budget aligns with key enterprise objectives and strategies
  • Conduct monthly management information reviews with functional business leaders, understanding key activities that are ongoing in their areas and any risks and opportunities to the p&l.
  • Partner with budget owners to drive value for money and to meet objectives and key performance indicators
  • Work with business function owners to create financial models for investment proposals. Comparing the financial return of project investment proposals and tracking their performance against expectations
  • Support and mentor the FP&A analysts to produce c omplete, accurate and timely P&L and other reports
  • Involvement in the set-up of finance systems and processes as we move from existing parent systems to the Osttra end state

Candidate experience and skills - required:

  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues with a variety of levels of financial expertise
  • Experience designing and building financial models in Excel. This includes the full model lifecycle from working with stakeholders to decide on purpose, inputs and outputs to handing over the model to other team members to develop or operate
  • Ability to produce useful analysis and reports that tell a story
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Professionalism to interact with all levels across the business
  • Fully qualified; with 5+ years' experience post-qualified

Candidate experience and skills - preferred:
  • history supporting a business operating under a matrix leadership structure
  • experience of working in a company undergoing large-scale change
  • background in financial services or technology due to the complex nature of the products
  • experience of companies with operations in multiple locations and fx exposure
