Responsibilities:

Content and Communications:
  • Help coordinate the production of new content and collateral from request to publication to ensure they are delivered on time and in line with stakeholders' expectations. This will range from brochures and sales aid to presentations and web pages, and everything in between
  • Support the team in reviewing 7IM's content and collateral (brochures, sales aid, due diligence documents, FAQs, presentations, etc.) on a regular basis to ensure they are kept up to date and continue to meet our stakeholders' needs.
  • Assist with the publication of articles and commentaries, ensuring they are delivered on time and to expectations to enable client facing teams to effectively communicate with clients and prospects
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure all application forms are accurate and meet business requirements. Where changes are required, take responsibility for co-ordinating and signing off these
  • Ensure content and communications are compliant by adhering to the financial promotion process
Fund & Model Portfolio specific literature:
  • Support the production of regulatory 'hygiene' fund documents (factsheets, fund holdings, key investor information documents), which are a key document in assisting the sales process, ensuring they are accurate and compliant
  • Support the production of essential model portfolio documents (factsheets, model holdings, brochures, etc.)
  • Assist with the management of our external partners (Financial Express) in the production of these documents.
  • Ensure documents are updated in line with regulatory and internal deadlines Support any future fund or model portfolio launches.
Additional and ad hoc responsibilities:
  • Assist with keeping the content and communications calendar up to date
  • Be proactive in responding to incoming queries
  • Support the Communications & Content team by proofreading and editing content and collateral to support 7IM's commercial needs.
  • Be on hand to assist other members of the Content and Communications when required

  • Stakeholder management - continuously maintain the highest standards of professionalism and build good relationships with all stakeholders in the business.

Knowledge:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Experience in using the Adobe Suite (InDesign and Acrobat)
  • Knowledge of the fund management industry is not essential but is desirable
  • Experience in managing external suppliers
  • Understanding of Microsoft Sharepoint would be helpful.
Qualifications:
  • No specific qualifications are required, but degrees or qualifications in marketing or communications are desirable

Other relevant information:
  • Reports to Head of Communications and Content.
  • Occasional travel to the Edinburgh office may be required.
  • The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, adaptable and resilient.
  • The candidate will need to understand and subscribe to 7IM's mission and tenets and in particular, the Code of Conduct.


About The Company

The '7' in 7IM refers to the seven original founders of the business. Back in 2002, they couldn't find a firm they trusted to manage their families' money properly - big banks seemed impersonal and greedy, while most boutiques lacked the necessary investment process and structure. They started the kind of organisation they'd like to invest with themselves.

In 2018 we acquired Tcam Asset Management, a firm we felt closely aligned with our investment philosophies and multi-asset approach.
