Would you like the opportunity to progress your career in a dynamic environment, gaining experience in many different areas of managing residential mortgages portfolios? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant to join Macquarie Capital's Principal Finance team in London on an initial 12 month Fixed Term contract.

Working closely with key internal stakeholders, including front office, risk, finance and legal teams, as well as external servicers and advisors, you'll be responsible for the monitoring and ongoing management of the portfolio whilst ensuring that our risk management framework, policies and procedures are met. This will involve:
  • Building strong working relationships with all relevant internal and third-parties, for example servicers, solicitors, insurers and external directors
  • Monitoring portfolio performance, analysing arrears and maintaining detailed financial models in Excel
  • Creating clear and concise presentations in Powerpoint and Word, including quarterly and annual portfolio reviews
  • Other ad-hoc financial analysis as appropriate
  • Receiving and resolving loan enquiries from servicers, while considering TCF and potential vulnerabilities at the forefront of your mind
  • Making decisions on the progression of litigation - particularly standard cases, and assisting managers with decisions around more complex cases
  • Attending monthly review meetings with multiple servicers (can be done online)
  • Overseeing governance and regulatory requirements of the portfolio and ensuring procedures reflect current practices
  • Administrative tasks as required including invoice review and processing
  • Other duties as directed

You will likely have 3-5 years' experience in a similar role which will have equipped you with a deep understanding of residential mortgages along with strong numerical abilities, sound organisational and time management skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines and follow tasks through to completion.

If you are an enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic, flexible approach to work, and have a desire to succeed, apply today!
