Based in offices in London the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a busy and developing team where they will take on a hybrid role acting in the capacity of Account Director - managing a day-to-day portfolio, generating long term revenues through a network of professional advisors, lawyers and bankers as well as a more commercially focused role - working on a marketing strategy, identifying, pursuing and promoting local commercial cooperation with other business lines, thus ensuring overall added revenue/value.

Overview of the role (not exhaustive):
  • Acquisition of mandates through clients & professional corporate advisors.
  • Risk assessment of existing portfolio and the structuring development of future deals.
  • Providing business and legal advice to client/partners both internally and externally.
  • Day to day management of an existing portfolio of up to 50 escrow & paying agency mandates.
  • Cross selling and working with other internal sales lines to identify opportunities.
  • Assessing and staying on top of developments and trends.
  • Based on information from internal and external sources, analysing and identifying (potential) escrow & paying agency solutions and opportunities for (further) product sales.
  • Drafting agreements with internal departments to optimise the structuring process.
  • Presenting presentations to clients, internal stakeholders and legal executives from international operating law firms.

Skills/Experience:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Ideally a qualified lawyer in England & Wales or have experience working in a legal capacity.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documentation and relevant knowledge of corporate and security law.
  • Relevant knowledge of finance structures.
  • Knowledge of escrow structures.
  • Knowledge of requirements of corporate lawyers and notaries advising corporate clients on risk mitigation in M&A and Project structures.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects efficiently and proactively.
