As Senior Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to engage with banks, investors and senior-level stakeholders within the business. You will build and maintain spreadsheets and financial models to analyse a broad array of corporate finance activities; project/structured financings; term sheets; the Group's cash flow forecasts; balance sheet management; and analysis supporting the acquisition or disposal of vessels.

The successful candidate is required to have a strong financial background; a keen interest in corporate finance; commercial awareness and the ability to convey a comprehensive understanding of key information both to internal stakeholders, clients and in the formulation of presentation materials; and is expected to be comfortable working in a flat-structured organisation and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Relevant experience & Education
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience, either with a bank, consultancy or accountancy firm, fund management company or large corporate
  • Strong academic performance with a degree in Finance, Maths, Economics or another analytical field
  • Good knowledge of Economics, Accounting and Finance
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce presentations from scratch
  • Experience using Bloomberg would be advantageous
  • Experience within a shipping background would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and focus on relevant information
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to apply knowledge and judgement to support decision making
  • Strong financial modelling experience, e.g. balance sheet/P&L/cash-flow statements, discounted cash flow valuations
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating analysis into recommendations and prepare written reporting and presentational content with level-appropriate messaging up to executive level
  • Solid work ethic with a keen interest in corporate finance and the desire to learn
  • Strong project, process and organisational skills; effectively able to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently
