Looking for an exciting data-driven position where you can showcase your Project Management skills?

Resource Solutions are looking for a Project Manager to join one of the world's top-20 general insurance and reinsurance companies, with operations in all the key insurance markets.

Joining QBE in an initial 5-month contract, you will support business critical initiatives within the portfolio. As part of the wider Group Data Office, you will be managing data-driven projects across regions such as Europe, North America, Australia Pacific, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple simultaneous projects ensuring that projects are aligned and directly support the achievement of strategic objectives.

• Develop and manage all stages of the projects from initiation to close.

• Exceptionally manage internal stakeholders and external vendor relationships.

• Drive projects to successful completion while working within the constraints and timeline of the business.

• Support the BA in requirements gathering, writing user stories and testing.

• Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.

• Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules, ensuring that milestones are being met and obstacles and issues are identified.

• Complete dependency mapping and consequently outline any risks or issues.

• Identify and escalate issues and risks early to minimize impact to the overall project schedule.

• Own and manage the Project RAID logs.

Experience:

• Proficient in MS Project with good knowledge of understanding Predecessors.

• Coach, mentor and provide guidance and advice to project sponsors, stakeholders, and peers.

• Good understanding of end-to-end life cycle delivery.

• To be able to report on the project proficiently and concisely through weekly status/checkpoint report.

• Experience in managing Waterfall and Agile projects.

• Good use of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Live and breathe the QBE Values and DNA.

• APM or Prince2, PMI qualification.

• Good knowledge on JIRA and SharePoint tools.

Desirable:

• Experience in project delivery and project management methodologies (SDLC)

• Knowledge of change, portfolio management and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Understanding of Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.

• Understanding of data modelling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical), data catalogue and business glossaries.

• Understanding of data quality, data profiling and implementation of data quality projects.

• Knowledge of Power BI.
