Description

The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for gathering and understanding the business needs during an OMS/PMS implementation /change project.

The BA will work with various stakeholders across the middle-office function (Compliance, IT, System Teams) to ensure that the requirements are accurately translated into system implementation and that the integrated OMS/PMS implementation meets business requirements.
  • Advise Senior management on operational needs and solutions
  • Lead the setup of system configurations and operational procedures/processes (e.g. market data feeds, trade files, settlement instructions)
  • Assist with portfolio data migration
  • Assist in the creation of technology solutions to deliver robust operations functions needs
  • Work with system support/implementation teams to ensure sound interconnectivity with internal (front-office) and external parties (Brokers/Custodians)
  • Assist in the analysis/evaluation of current workflows/procedures in order to identify areas of improvement
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as and when they arise
  • Provide staff training on systems implemented


Experience / Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics / experience:
  • Asset management/buy-side role experience across operations/middle-office function
  • Good understanding of the asset management lifecycle
  • Strong functional knowledge of the trade settlement process
  • Broad product knowledge across asset classes (i.e. equities, fixed-income, PE, alternatives, derivatives etc.)
  • Knowledge of fund/portfolio reporting frameworks (e.g. nav production, p&l, performance attribution)
  • Proven business analysis skills and experience.
  • Experienced in process mapping, writing use cases, user acceptance testing, GAP analysis including the ability to define complex to-be processes and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and project management discipline skills
  • Confident with stakeholder management
  • Enthusiastic with proactive attitude
  • Strong communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg application highly desirable
  • Minimum Investment Management Function Experience: 5-8yrs

Qualification
  • Degree qualification (preferably finance related)
