Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Analyst required to join our client a world-leader within the investment management space. The Senior Systems Analyst will play a key role and deliver solutions to varying business partners, they will be required to solve complex problems and ensure investors receive the support and help they need to deliver successfully to the clients.

The Senior Systems Analyst should have proven experience with SQL which would include understanding relational databases and performing select statements and joining tables. The suitable individual should have a strong analytical and problem solving skill-set within investment management systems and data technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to manage production incidents, prioritise application fixes and use business process/application knowledge to answer intelligently research functional and technical questions.

Senior Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

• Directly interact with investment professionals - act as the SME/trusted advisor
• Engage with IT, Ops and Investment colleagues
• Use business process/application knowledge of answer or research functional and technical questions from business partners
• manage production incidents, ensure appropriate escalation and assist in determining root cause and prioritisation of application fixes
• Respond to business requests
• Engage in testing new system functionality, provide end-user training
• identify issues and opportunities for improved methods
• Take ownership of the IT relationship

Senior Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

• 3-5 years business analysis or systems analysis
• Support portfolio construction applications in Fixed Income, FX, Equity and associated derivatives domains
• Experience with investment data concepts
• Understanding of financial intrustments such as equities, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards and FX
• Experience with SQL understanding relational databases, performing select statements and joining tables
