London Corporate Banking Generalist - Associate

The role will involve the following:

• Being actively involved in assisting in the structuring and underwriting of new deals
• Identifying solutions for a wide array of clients and working toward increasing your ownership of these relationships
• Lead the credit underwriting process and also participate in the due diligence for each respective process.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials by performing industry research
• Preparing written credit analysis for new and existing transactions
• Working closely with the investment banking division at the firm to develop models for each transaction
• Monitor and train analyst level corporate banking professionals

Desired Skills/Requirements:

• Formal credit training and strong financial modeling skills
• Effective portfolio administration and management skills
• Analyst to Associate promotion within Corporate Banking or Corporate Lending preferred
• Strong knowledge of investment banking and capital markets products
• Portfolio is diversified. Any of Food and Beverage, Retail, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Health and Technology sector experience is a plus
• Expansion on lending and ancillary business in EU and LATAM means that Spanish or Portuguese fluency is also a plus
• Prior experience with structuring complex transactions
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, & Powerpoint
• Undergraduate degree in the field of finance, economics or accounting a plus, but not essential
• Team player, self-starter and mentorship ability for junior level professionals
• Strong communication skills and able to work with tight deadlines
