I am recruiting for a "Middle Office Manager" for a reputable energy investment firm in London. The business is FCA registered and authorised as a "Full Scope Alternative Investment Fund Manager" AIFM, and operates as a "Collective Portfolio Management Investment firm.

The "Middle Office Manager" will join a small and high profile team to deliver quality reports and analysis to Front Office Analysts/Managers and Senior Stakeholders. In addition the person will be accountable for risk monitoring.

On a daily basis the individual will perform the following;
  • Working for the CRO in relation to quantitative risk measurement and monitoring approaches
  • Working closely with traders on their positions and trade related queries
  • Review daily P&L and Greek positions for Power, Gas, Oil, Carbon and Coal Derivatives and brokerage
  • Investigating and addressing risk of non-processed trades
  • Establish and run daily F/X hedging processes
  • Handling queries from the CIO, reviewing miss-pricing, ensuring closing prices and market observed pricing are aligned
  • End-end post - execution trade flows, including daily reconciliations between trades, executing brokers, clearing brokers and administrators.
  • Working with executing brokers and exchanges to ensure trading accounts, GUA and trading limits are set-up
  • Daily reporting and portfolio data mining to respond to queries

  • Individual would have worked as an execution trader/trader/Risk Analyst within a hedge fund/trading house/Asset Management firm focusing on Energy Commodities
  • Understand trade bookings and amends across Energy Commodities
  • Advanced understanding and experience of financial derivatives
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of Option pricing and Greeks within front office.
  • Advanced knowledge of econometric time series modelling
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Excel VBA
  • Highly proficient in Python & R
  • Ideally the individual will have a degree in a quantitative subject
