Do you have a burning desire to utilize your data engineering skills to push forward MAM Private Markets Growth vision through data-enablement? Bring that passion to the newly formed Reporting & Data Analytics Technology team, aligned to Macquarie Asset Management Private Markets and showcase your skills as a Data Engineer based in our London office, as you develop and maintain a new reporting stack.

We are hiring 10 Data Engineers in our London office to start an ambitious program to revamp MAM Private Markets reporting and analytics capabilities across the globe, leveraging the new MAM Operational and Analytical Data Platforms to support a growing demand from various teams (Portfolio/Asset teams, Fund Management, Deal, etc...) and unlock insights from our internal and external data collection.

As a data engineer, this is an excellent opportunity to sit side-by-side with business stakeholders and gain strong financial knowledge throughout Private Markets. Our flat structure means that you'll directly contribute to our strategy, while taking ownership of a diverse range of projects utilising the latest technologies.

Your role will comprise of various tasks such as managing data pipelines with different languages and systems (Python, SQL, AWS, etc...), building quick prototypes based on business requirements, reviewing new tools and systems, creating and maintaining data products for different domains (fund management, asset/portfolio monitoring, deal transactions, etc...), automated tasks, pipelines, integration and testing, and creating domain-specific reports within the Power BI platform.

Ideally, you will also bring to the role:
  • Experience with data pipelines and Cloud Services (ideally AWS),
  • understanding of data and data integration concepts (SQL, data governance, enterprise patterns) and data modelling
  • Programming languages experience (Python, Bash),
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau,
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to independently propose new solutions
  • Strong understanding of development best practices (SDLC, TDD/BDD, CI/CD),
