Who we're looking for

We're looking for a Portfolio Data Analyst to join the team, supporting an existing Operations capability and a team of three Fund Managers. The role will encompass a diverse set of activities.

Team Overview

The Multi-Manager team at Schroders run a number of multi-manager solutions for clients, principally in the UK. This ranges from fully active 'best of breed' multi-asset fund of funds to single-asset Manager of Manager solutions. The team invest globally in predominantly open ended vehicles or segregated mandates across asset classes to provide clients with conviction based portfolios across the risk spectrum. The team currently manages approximately £11bn.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. Furthermore, we have everything we need to work flexibly.

What you'll do

The Portfolio Data Analyst role will include a diverse set of activities, including data analysis; risk analysis; model-building; ESG analysis, engagement and reporting; portfolio implementation and other ad hoc requirements including project-based work.

The holder of this role will be expected to take a pro-active approach to highlighting and resolving any process inefficiencies and ensuring all aspects of the team's output are consistently well-executed.

Furthermore, it may be a requirement to assist with issues relating to business development and client support.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Relevant industry experience, principally Multi-Manager, is preferred
• Strong communication skills - able to present ideas/suggestions with confidence
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel. Other systems currently used by the team include Aladdin, Lipper for Investment Management, Style Analytics and Bloomberg
• Proficiency with Coding, or a desire to study and learn is preferred.
