We are a place to inspire your work, build your voice, and grow your community. We're different. And we're proud of it.

  • Our expanding Investment Management team has a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious investment professional or someone with a demonstrable interest in investment management, perhaps supported through studies such as finance, economics or accounting.
  • The Quantitative Investment team set up resembles that of a start-up, implying that your career will not be limited in one particular area of investments but it will have a broad character. Given the broad scope of this role, you will have a great chance of making a strong impact on the firm. We are looking for candidates exhibiting interest in systematic investing, open-minded, and with strong desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • The team is relatively new and is experiencing strong asset and account growth, driving ongoing investments into people, data, and tools. Currently the team manages over 30 equity strategies across a variety of geographies, investment styles, and risk/return profiles, including recently launched range of Active Factor ETFs
  • You will support the team, broadly split between research and ongoing maintenance of existing investment processes to aid achievement of performance objectives.

What you'll do:
  • You will assist in managing assigned portfolios
  • Contribute to research of new buy signals and models
  • Monitor market conditions, portfolio performance and positioning
  • Produce monthly market and portfolio commentaries and quarterly presentation deck
  • Support the team in compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Assist in developing and maintaining high quality sales and service materials for the team's portfolios and capabilities

  • All SIEL employees are responsible for the identification, assessment and control of risks and risk events. Employees will maintain a good understanding of applicable policies, procedures, risk appetites and tolerance relevant to their function and or business unit, and are expected to consider current and potential risks when making or informing business decisions. Employees are responsible for the accurate and timely escalation and recording of incidents associated to relevant risks. In addition, employees are responsible for completing all required Risk Management training.

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics or accounting with a strong understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis and a demonstrable interest in investment management
  • Quantitatively inclined
  • Interest in, and ideally an existing ability, to code (Python preferred, but not required)

Attributes we value:
  • Genuinely interested in equity investments, curious and inquisitive
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • Diligent and persevering
