About the role:
The Overlay/Currency Hedging business within Markets is continuing an exciting journey to offer a highly competitive hedging product. As a result, we have exciting roles available in Market Operations to help shape and deliver change for this business.
In the role, you will work as part of the FX Operation Change the Bank team to:
- Own and drive complex FX Overlay projects that will expand the product, enhance the client experience, improve operational scale, reduce operational risk and improve margins.
- Work with internal stakeholders such as Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance & more to agree prioritisation and timelines.
- Use influencing skills to ensure Markets Operations is well represented in relevant Forums and Operations items are appropriately prioritised.
- Leveraging analysis skills to ensure requirements/user stories are fit for purpose.
- Designing testing approach and methodology, including use case creation or scripting, UAT environments and regression testing, utilizing automation tools.
- Performing Operational Readiness; ensuring teams running the business are fully engaged, trained, and prepared whilst ensuring the successful adoption of any changes or new solutions.
- Using metrics and feedback from the user community to track effectiveness of implemented projects.
- Displaying key project governance methodologies incl. the user of Jira & Confluence to ensure delivery of projects and programmes in a controlled & effective manner. Provide clear project updates to all impacted stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of Business & Functional requirements & process mapping.
- A strong understanding of Back Office Foreign Exchange environments, specifically Overlay & Hedging practices.
- Experience of FX processing & SWIFT.
- Understanding of FX rates and FX rate volatility.
- An innovate mind, with a strong hands on mentality and focus on successful execution within challenging deadlines and short sprint cycles.
- A proven track record of managing key stakeholders in Technology, Markets Operations & Business/ Product Management groups.
- A proven multi-tasker, that can operate under pressure and balance multiple priorities and time constraints.
- Desire to transform the way things are; challenge the status-quo, striving for solutions that are best in class.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly with outstanding analytical skills, structured thinking, ability to connect the dots across similar problem statements and exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.
- Risk identification & mitigation through established controls and best practices.
