Project Manager - Price Risk - Global Markets - £810 (Inside IR35)

Harvey Nash are currently supporting a Global Investment Bank with their requirement for an experienced Project Manager within Global Markets who has experience in a 1st / 2nd Line of Defence Risk and Controls function, with a background in managing market risk.
  • £810 p/day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
  • 8 months (with view to extend)
  • Canary Wharf (2-3 days on site expected)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform risk assessment of current Large, Complex and Illiquid (LCI) processes, issues identification, and drive remediation
  • Drive implementation of Markets-wide LCI control framework
  • Document Current state process flows
  • Perform control design and operating effectiveness testing
  • Ensure LCI controls are fit for purpose by providing analysis and justification given changes in criteria and thresholds
  • Work across 1LoD and 2LoD to implement defined LCI roles & responsibilities, including MCA control definition and ongoing monitoring
  • Prepare and present communications to management and governance forums, including timely escalation of risks and issues, where applicable.
  • Drive remediation based on identified gaps
  • Support regulatory inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to associated queries

Background / Experience:
  • 4+ years' experience in a risk and controls, internal audit or transformation team delivering strategic transformation
  • Prior first line, market risk, or product control experience, or leading consultancy business is highly beneficial
  • Familiar with traded products and the corresponding controls and risk measures, including taxonomies
  • Ability to drive change and effectively manage projects and stakeholders
  • Capable of prioritising and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
  • Strong business analysis, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive
  • Keen sense of urgency and eagerness for ownership
